Sailing school
Base course
This course will take place at our base in Marina degli Aregai.
Participants: minimum - 4, maximum - 8
The aim of the course is to help you grasp the techniques for basic handling in sailboat and motorboat steering and to make you a useful crew member.
The program provides:
laws and regulations, a captain, security equipment, the nomenclature, knot
practice, theory and compass practice, theory of tools on board, equipment
accessories theory, demonstration of sailing regulations, demonstration of
steering on the various points of sailing, veering, gibing, jib handling, gaff-sail
handling, demonstration of berthing in port.
There is no previous experience required.
In-depth course
This course will take place on our base in Marina degli Aregai.
Participants: minimum - 4, maximum – 8.
Directed at those who want to intensify their basic sailing knowledge and those who have successfully completed the base course or similar courses from other schools.
The program provides:
knot practice, wind and breeze theory, leeway theory, anchorage theory
and practice, sailing theory, sailing regulations, point of sailing theory,
demonstration of conduction on different points of sailing, veering,
gibing, jib handling, main sail handling, demonstration of berthing in port.
A knowledge of the concepts from the base course or similar courses from other schools is required.
Advanced course
This course will take place at our base in Marina degli Aregai.
Participants: minimum - 4, maximum – 8.
By the end of the course, you will be steering in familiar waters.
The program provides:
meteorology grounding, shortening the sail during navigation, know-how in emergency
situations, how to use the cover, anchors, and rafts, dealing with fires onboard,
night sailing, jib handling, main sail handling, rudder handling, berthing
in the port, anchoraging at low speed, cover cock.
A knowledge of the concepts from the in-depth course or other similar courses are required.
